Connie joined Alternative Link in 1999 and is the Director of Practitioner Relations and Code Development. Connie is a Certified Professional Midwife with a Masters Degree in Public Health and has been active in the integrative and public healthcare community for over twenty years. She is driven to help shift the healthcare paradigm from a disease-based to a wellness-based model of care.

Prior to joining Alternative Link, Connie completed her Masters Degree in Public Health and managed a US/Mexico border primary health clinic with Project Vida, located in an impoverished neighborhood in El Paso. During this time, Connie realized the critical need and necessity for public access to integrative healthcare.

Before completing her Masters Degree, Connie practiced as a midwife in Denver and was instrumental in the successful political effort to change laws concerning midwifery in Colorado. She also practiced as a staff midwife at The Birth Center in El Paso, which serves women and families on the US/Mexico border and taught midwifery students from all over the world.

Since joining the Alternative Link, Connie has partnered with team members and national associations of alternative medicine, nursing and integrative healthcare modalities to gain national recognition of a ground-breaking national coding system that represents over 3 millions licensed healthcare practitioners.
